Nevada Land Ferry based on Steel Interstate Concept
Rail Solution recently assisted the Nevada Department of Transportation with their land ferry concept for transportation of trucks across the high dessert. Director of Development Robinson Foster together with Dave Foster, Executive Director, suggested Steel Interstate improvements of the parallel Union Pacific Railroad to operate the Nevada Land Ferry. Interstate 80 across northern Nevada is one of the country’s busiest trucking routes, connecting California ports with many inland markets.
