Rail Solution help to plan freight rail portion of TRB meeting

RAIL Solution has helped plan the freight rail portion of the annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) conference being held this month (January 12, 2015) in Washington, DC. This downloadable Word document contains details of the freight rail panel of speakers and the topic being addressed. The double stack intermodal business model has been used very successfully by American railroads, but what happens next to address the millions of trucks still on the nation’s highways? RAIL Solution member David Mangold, a Norfolk Southern locomotive engineer in Toledo, OH, and Executive Director David Foster both worked with the TRB AR-040 Committee to plan this year’s freight rail session.
