The Virginia Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) is hosting nine public meetings across the commonwealth for the public to discuss projects and programs in the CTB’s current Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP) and provide comments for the development of the Fiscal Years 2015 – 2020 SYIP, including multimodal initiatives for highways, rail and transit.

You are invited to participate in a meeting near you or in a “virtual meeting”.  The meeting dates and locations are listed on their web site. Representatives from the Virginia Department of Transportation, Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, the Office Of Intermodal Planning and Investment, and Office of Public-Private Partnerships, along with your local MPO/PDC will be on site to take your questions and comments.

Go to the VDOT link above to find the next meeting near you and how you can speak your mind about how the priority needs to be on less highways and more RAIL!

The last scheduled meeting is Thursday, November 21, 2013.
